Finally Finished! Airstream Renovation! (Including a washer dryer combo unit)
In case you missed Post #1 check it out HERE! That will help get you up to speed. We are so happy with the finished product done by Ultimate Airstreams! They completed their side of the arrangement and even helped solve a service issue (or hopefully solve... it is still ongoing) with Airstream Adventures Northwest, Covington.
A big thing for us was to STOP going to the laundromat all of the time. It is exhausting and time consuming. It takes forever and with 2 small kids (soon to be 3) it is inconvenient. It was was by far my least favorite part of living in an Airstream.
The next problem... my newly purchased Instant Pot IP-DUO60 7-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker, 6Qt/1000W. The drawer they designed is a perfect fit. The first picture shows the drawer at the beginning and the second shows it finished.
The next problem was our produce. There are spaces to put them but in general I didn't like the options. The produce always got banged around and in turn went bad quickly. This wire basket was the perfect option!
To maximize space we also added a slide out pantry and a few extra drawers.
We have been super happy with the washer and dryer combo. The reviews are true and it is a "damp dry" when the clothing is finished. I just stack the clothing over night and by the morning they are ready to put away. We have a vented dry option or a condensing dry option on this machine. I don't really see a difference yet but I have only done 4-5 loads to date. If you have any tips here let me know in the comments! It holds a surprising amount of clothing! This machine has a 13-pound limit for washing.
Overall, the renovation was a hit! We are so happy with turning the unused "couch" space into this amazing station! (Bonus: the counter space will be very helpful for changing baby #3 and sewing!)
