Selling Our House, Packing Up and Going!
This photo makes me chuckle so I figured I would share it... #nailedit The past couple of weeks have been full of illness, trips and packing. Tyler is working on more specific blog posts about selling our house but I thought I would give you a quick update. We have been trying to participate in normal holiday events in between getting everything in order (which has proven difficult.) We did get to experience the North Pole Express at the Florida Railroad Museum, which I highly recommend for any little train enthusiasts!
The house is set to close January 6th. EEK!
We searched and searched for a short-term rental here in Florida that would work for our family and NOT cost a zillion dollars. Well, thank you Florida for being a tourist mecca! For a rental under 6 months we would have been saddled with an outrageously high rental tax. After adding in pet fees we abandoned the idea of staying close to "home" longer and decided to take advantage of my father-in-laws awesome South Carolina home for a few months! (I might be jumping around here but we can't leave for Europe any earlier than the end of March because my business has one final wedding to complete.) The catch here is we can't go to SC full-time until February 1st because January is FULL of family commitments, work commitments and a trip planned months and months ago! We did the math and jumping around to hotels/rentals in January and then going to SC for February and March seemed to be the best way to go.
Here is what our schedule will look like for the month of January...
First week: Vacation rental on AMI (come play on the beach with us!!!)
Second week: Orlando for a breastfeeding conference/Disney/Legoland for the kid's birthday celebrations!
Third week: South Carolina to move our clothing/kids beds/personal everyday items
Fourth week: SKI TRIP!!!
We will end January with my nephews birthday party and then head to SC for several months.
P.S. Chloe is having issues with her liver so until that is figured out we can't book anything for Europe. She needs to have surgery on her eye but can't with her liver not functioning properly... we are putting her on a liver medication and then we will recheck her liver function.
